Bluetooth upgrade

Hello everybody.
I'm going to take my RRS '07 next week to LR carsale to upgrade the Bluetooth software.
Can anyone confirm that with this update the phonebook of LG Nexus 4 and LG Nexus 5 will be show on the radio display?
I will apreciate that.

Thanks in advance.

All i can tell you, is that as long as you enter 2121 as your pairing code, then the swapout BT modules that I supply will provide that update. Phone book contacts on the radio screen.

It should be the same update that the LR dealer is going to provide you, but possibly at a fraction of their cost.
Are they selling you a new module or updating the software? Bodsys Brake Bible

I really have no idea. I just went to them and show them this

and ask to upgrade the Bluetooth.
What's your offer? rrobyrroby

That's just a software upgrade - an updated module would be even better. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Why?
Here in Iceland they said they will charge me about 15.000kr (about 73£)...
What do you think? Is it a fair price? rrobyrroby

Bodsy can probably explain the differences more than I, but, AIUI, the later Bluetooth module gives better sound quality (the main benefit), more contacts and the signal strength on the screen. There may be other things too but I don't have first hand experience of it, yet (it's on my list of upgrades Smile ). Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I had to use 2121 to connect, which was annoying, but for some strange reason in the last 2 weeks it now connects without using the code!!

The dark arts at work...... Whistle

Sometimes that happens, then it will revert to the constant connecting code again with no apparent reason why or why not.

The software update will fix it for good as well as give you the contacts from your phone on the radio screen. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
