It's 15000 miles and one year which ever comes first. You history looks like mine. 3-4000 miles between services although exactly 12 months apart. You are a half service short, seems to be 18 months between two. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

That sounds like good value when I was charged £408 for a 60,000 service on a TDV8 which only has filters and oils. Mind you the oil alone was over £100. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Don't know the dealership; but if they are like all the others then once they have your car you will receive a 'phone call to tell you they have found all sorts of other expensive things that 'need doing sir'. Then your kecks come down.

The best thing to do (only my opinion of course) is let the dealer do the items you agreed to and then find a decent independent specialist and get their opinion on the necessity of the things that 'need doing'. You may have a nice surprise. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

No reason to take an 06 car to a main dealer. Why pay daft money when it will add £0 value?

Just use a decent indy and don't obsess about intervals and mileages of olde.

Drop it in an indy any time in the next six to twelve months. You have only done 3k miles since the last one. No need to panic.

Stuart - I notice you're also in Manchester. Do you have any recommendations in terms of indys which you have had a good experience with?

Land Ranger. Off Lancashire Hill in Stockport. Can be a bit of a wait to get in, but they are OK.

Also "Flack" here, is a mobile bloke from nearbyish, Preston or somewhere. He knows his eggs too and is a good guy who wont nail your hat on.

Stuart the indy was £100 more expensive plus they wanted an additional £45 for brake fluid change and £40 plus the dreaded vat for coolant in this instant the main dealer come in cheaper

Make sure you are comparing like-for-like servicing.

Was once told my service was £120 more than that of a main dealer, for a 7 year service.

I quoted for timing belts which should be done at 7 years, the dealer did not. They only quoted for an oil service. Thumbs Up
