Torque converter advice please???

Advice please! Im getting the dreaded cattle grid affect. Just wounderd if it is ok to change just the torque converter as i dont really need a £2500 bill just before xmas! the millage is 104000 and the gearbox all seem to change up and down lovely.
The only thing it is doing is up hill or when im hard on the gas is when it gets bumpy Sad
I had a mega flush done last year and it help but now its back!

Thanks Bodsy
Yep the revs go up and down about 500 rpm
Do you think I might getaway with just changing the torque converter??

that sounds about right. Yes, TC and oil (of course) should sort it.
Sometimes though, it also masks a gearbox problem, but mostly it is the TC is the only thing that needs replacing. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

I do hope so' as it's £850 for just the torque converter and £2450 for gearbox and torque converter!
Thank you for you time Bodsy.

Just a quick update. Got the RRS back today after having the torque converter replaced and all seems good. Nice and smooth and no more cattle grid for me. Let's hope the gear box last a little longer now!

Thanks Chris

Thats great to hear.

I have sent JT an email to see how long they would need my car for.
Its not too bad at the minute, but i need a new ecu which i have asked Bodsy to help me with. Just waiting on the part.

Thanks for the information, I will be glad to get the car running smooth again.

Good luck with all that! Highly recommend JT as they keep the car nice and clean inside and out!
They had mine about 4 days.
