Do you fill up with premium or regular Diesel in your L494 ?

I always fill up with premium out of habit... not exactly sure what the benefits are...

Cleaner burning , cleaner in the tank, more efficient is what i've heard before ...

Does anyone know if there are any benefits of premium at altitude , or what t they are full stop...

Regular in mine. However I do put some RedEx in the tank too every few fill ups. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Fuel additives can void a warranty claim if the worst should happen. Shocked Be warned. Wink

I have always put regular supermarket in mine, but recently put £20 at local ESSO on a low tank whilst waiting for usual weekend fill-up at the supermarket. later that day I had "stuttering" and 4 to 7 second engine start up wait, got a bit worried and spoke to a chap at landrover assist who suggested it was fuel contamination and I should fill up with a premium fuel and see if the problem persists. with no admission of guilt at the local garage I filled up as usual with my normal supermarket fuel and the problem drifted away. with only 1500 miles covered and no other issues this has made me a bit nervous....will need to monitor this going forward

^^^ You mean if there is an engine problem, they suspect additives and send it off for lab testing/inspection? I'd say worst case scenario but "yes". Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

A garage will never admit liability and you have no chance of proving it was them... its a Censored ...

A few years back I took on contaminated marine diesel powering two 1200hp Mans....
The repair bill was nearly half a new RR Big Cry ..... couldn't prove a thing ... Insurance didn't want to know either..

I think you've just said enough to keep me on premium from now on... Shocked 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

I have always used premium diesel and petrol fuel in my cars. Subjectively, I feel that the engine runs smoother and pulls harder but there's no way that premium fuel pays for itself in terms of increased mpg

I been using v power nitro on mine, worked out the other day it less than a fiver extra to fill over standard diesel

For that I might aswell reap the supposed benefits and not bother adding anything else
