different tread patterns front vs rear?

Running 4x grabber UHP but found one slashed beyond repair. Proving hard to find a replacement so might need to look into replacing both rear with a new pair. Like the look of the ATs but not sure how good these work with UHP at the front?

Tyre shops don't seem to lend any useful advice, just concerned about selling what they have in stock Confused 07 TDV8 + BAS map

They'll be fine, but I'd put the new ones on the front and moved the old ones to the back. More tread in the wet/braking etc

If you were driving to extreme, then it would make a slight difference in handling, but not for everyday. Bodsys Brake Bible

Sounds good, thanks for the advice.

While I have you, been reading your brake bible as was looking to paint the old callipers. Great piece of literature! I don't really have a proper torque wrench other than my small bahco SL25. Can you recommend a kit that would have a decent range of sockets for amateur stuff? Found I struggled with removing steering wheel too, my bahco was too small to provide enough turning force! 07 TDV8 + BAS map

Would the Grabber GT not be a better match for the UHP rather than the AT? It's effectively the UHP's replacement after all. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Guess so, just not fond of the tread pattern. Pure aesthetics I'm talking about 07 TDV8 + BAS map

Hmm, I can't see the tyres when I'm driving, but I can hear them. The AT makes a droning noise once it starts to wear.

In fact, the only time I can see the tyres is when I go and actually look at them. Which is only to check the pressures and a quick visual check once every couple of weeks. What a tyre looks like is less important than how it performs... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
