There's always someone who will park 3" from your bumper, but looking at that i wouldn't be suprised if it had been done on purpose 2010 RRS, TDV8

Well as you can see, I parked as far back as possible - what you can't see is the wooden post 2" from my back bumper and the Focus had a toe hook. I could not even manoeuvre onto the curb!

They aren't heavy so I'd have got a couple of mates and bounced it into middle of road.

i agree with Peachy.... sometimes i even take up 2 spaces when parking at the local well known supermarket as there is always someone who will ding the side of your car when they open their doors.

Had one guy have a go at me for doing this..... nowt worse than car park policemen, i think he was only jealous cause his car wasn't big enough to take up 2 spaces Ner Ner 2010 RRS, TDV8

I used to take up 2 spaces in the Focus RS for the same reason.. and had one old boy reverse his Merc out of a space straight into a freshly restored '68 Mustang GT500 Fastback! All he could say when he finally stopped and got out, was:

"have you seen how you've parked!"
"yes sir, but you've just reversed into an expensive classic car"
"but you've parked over 2 spaces!"
"yes, but you've just reversed into someone's car"
"that's what bumpers are for!"

At that point, I stopped speaking as there was no point. Got the registration of the bloke's Merc and saw the fella returning to the 'stang so gave him the details... and people wonder why you take up 2 spaces or park well away from the front doors (although that said, this was right down the back end of the car park too). Some people just don't get it.

Cheers..

Ian
