Retractable rear load cover problem

The load cover on my 2010 sport does not fit properly. It seems a little too short and doesn't fit into the recesses at the back of the boot. Does anyone know if there are two different load covers for pre and post 2010? Or is there some adjustment that I am missing?
Thanks in advance
Sid

Sorry to bump this. Anyone know if there are different load covers or why mine doesn't seem to fit well.

hi,

I think I may be able to help with this as I had the same problem, has the car ever had a dog guard fitter? the reason I ask if the dog guards push the side panels in and therefore the load cover it too short. if you see where the side panels meet the quarter window and pillar trim does it all line up correctly?

Brillant. Had a look and discovered the side panel on the offside was slightly looser than on the near side. On stripping it out, discovered that clearly this panel had been off before and half the retaining clips were broken. 3 new clips for a fiver and 20 mins work and the panel is now fitted properly, and the load cover fits better. Not quite as snug a fit as I would expect but better and it doesn't fall down.
Thumbs Up vin297

I've been wondering why mine doesn't seem to fit properly too. I'll have a look to see if a dog guard was fitted at some point.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
