+1 ..I agree 100%

Some of the so called problems are simple basic settings. Whistle In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The transfer box issue is probably down to the last owner/s never reading the instruction manual and not knowing to engage the transfer box periodically to keep the bits from seizing up. Quite a common issue with RRS's just bought for the school/ shopping run or wifey's car. I would also suggest that this car was bought from a local trader or privately and not from a Land Rover dealer or non-franchised specialist - folks don't realise how complex all Land Rovers are under the skin and try to scrimp and save on servicing.

If you need a non-franchised service and repair company there are a few around the Glasgow area, one in Larbert, one in Bathgate and another up at Auchterarder. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Indeed so -engaging low range is part of the LR service schedule I believe.

I suppose if someone never uses low range then they won't care if it seizes and becomes effectively high range only. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
