Confirmed today one of the Turbo's has gone, they are just putting the quote together for Allianz for the repair under the
extended warranty package.. Turbo is 7K plus 2 days labour charges at LR dealer rates, not much change out
of 10K i reckon.. a body off job

BK you will have to hire my house for at least a month at high season at that rate Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

That means the body comes off the chassis - see if there is anything else you want done while the body is off. 07MY RRS TDV6

Here's hoping that that is the only tribulation you see from now on. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

likewise, but the standard off roading is a bit more than what you get in the UK on a good day

2nd how are you Thumbs Up in regard to our favourite company afraid not, Allianz who run LR Assist
in OZ asked LRA if they wished to contribute further and got the usual answer we are all use to as local owners.
Total out of pocket at the moment is approx $2600 for towing (above the 1K limit),
flights and extra accommodation charges. The Allianz rep on the phone said he was surprised
at LRA's negative response, i informed him no one who owns a LR in OZ would be, we have some
idiotic loyalty to the brand but a passionate dislike of LRA Laughing

Finally got the car back to Sydney this evening after a 3000 KM journey from Cairns, it still does
not sound right to me (vibration) when you let your foot off the go pedal and sometimes when engaging
drive, it will be dumped on the local dealership to service and sort out early next week.

i will leave it on the drive until then and look forward to a whole weekend of trying to detail the
red dust out of it Big Cry

Cheers.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Hey Zilch all good here thanks... I need your email for social reasons can you PM me! Smile

On the matter at hand, is LRA's response because the extended warranty offers less cover than the original factory one?

The reason i ask is this guy 'apparently' had his L322 recovered and out of pocket flights etc fully covered by LRA:
http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l322-range-rover...place.html

This is described in post no #128 on page 13...

Also Page page 10 has post #96 which is interesting too...

Glad your safely home though. Smile

NB: Could be worse you could have some rust on your almost new Rangie Wink :

Those off road modifications would void any warranty Zilchy, remember you can't put off road tyres on an off road vehicle according to LR.

You will just have to use the Jeep until you are happy with the RRS again. I told you that you would ruin it by taking it off road Rolling with laughter

2R, how are you mate?
