Head 2 Head event..

Jaymann.. i've been asking round, so far, there's

My RS4
Your SL 55 AMG

Another SLK 55 AMG
Possibly an E60 M5
And the possibility of an M3 & M3 CSL
and another guy who has an SL 65 AMG..

I have written off to make enquiries with Bruntingthorpe and a filming studio.
Will keep you updated of my progress.. be good to get a cross forum and brand meet arranged.. all like minded petrol heads at the end of the day...

Im confident i could get an RS6 down, so it won't just be our cars that will beable to be raced up and down the strip.. will be good to hear some of these other cars at full chat.. with more and more guys provisionally confirming attendance, it should lead to more and more brands turning up.. lets see how big we can roll this snowball.. if anyone knows of any guys/gals with some tasty cars, mention this to them.. not often you get to legally race drag style.. have to watch it on Telly normally!

I'll keep you informed guys.. could do with some spectators and some more cars for the lineup.. not sure the width of the track, but should be good for 5 or so cars.. we can do multiple drags with varying combinations..

I'll have you all quaking in your boots!

If it hasn't sold before then, I'm thinking of chucking Mrs ST's redundant Streetka in the boot of the RRS and thrashing you all in that.

I'll line up alongside Jay and Kam and see if I can 'Curl' it down the track quicker than they can drive.

What do you expect me to do? Drive the bloody thing? Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Right so thats:

RS4 x 2 maybe..
SL 55 AMG.
SL 65 AMG (confirmed).
SLK 55 AMG (confirmed).
M5 E60.
M3 E46 Coupe.

Getting quite a bit of interest in this so far..
Will work out some dates and will inform you all asap..

VA how much do you charge for your professional photography services? Obviously would want you along for your good humour, but if you could do this for us, that would be great.. Weekend day in the summer.. most probably.

I'm in, with a 996tt, may bring the wife along too if her RRS has turned up in time.
As for Bruntingthorpe, it is very wide but on the down side it is very dirty, when I took my Csl there the front end was stripped of paint, and the rear arches and mirrors didn't look too cleaver, just thought I would mention it. Laughing

Guys, Audi have come through for me.. was having trouble securing a good test facility at a half decent price, have managed to get one for £400 for the day inclusive of Liability insurance etc, am currently looking into this.. for everyone who said they were interested, are you still game? limiting this to 10 cars max, to keep it non crowded, and to get some good runs out of the cars.

The facility in question is an old RAF testing/storage facility now a privately owned land venture, which they rent out to clubs etc. Ideal for us novices, as the bigger test tracks were too expensive to make it ideal for us.

Will be in touch with details..
