ipod position......

anyone had an ipod cable run up into the cup holder compartment?

any pics? is it annoying there and does anyone have suggestions for better placement.

I guess it has to be someone easily accessible so you can change songs, albums etc... and press stop when leaving the car....bloody annoying there isn't proper integration

I have a 2008 TDV8 with a fridge in the rear compartment.

I've been quoted £140 to supply and fit ipod unit and cable which seems a good deal.

I think so yes...but needs to be accessible as you need to change songs on the ipod and can't change them using steering wheel or built in radio/cd player

My iPod connects in the glovebox to the ACM.

I select a playlist, press AUX on my stereo then I can use my steering wheel controls to advance track or go back to a previous one. Its not the best but it works for me. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

The iPod cable for mine was already fitted in the glovebox when I got the car.

I brought the iPod 30 pin to lightning connector cable so I can plug my iPhone in, works the same and also charges my phone. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

I have this Kuda Mount for my 08'. http://www.kudausa.com/land-rover-range-ro...-a988.html
I also use the Land Rover interface to charge the iPhone and use the steering wheel controls to operate the music on the iPhone.
It's how Land Rover should have designed the ICE in the first place!
