United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver
10MY v 14MY = chalk v cheese

Picked up an ex demo six month old MY14 3.0 HSE Dynamic today having traded in a MY10 TDV8

This contrast between them is huge based on first impressions.

The new model is just so much more refined, more comfortable, more lively and in dynamic mode drives more like a Golf Gti than a large luxury SUV.

And although not everyone likes it the ACC (radar cruise control) is a big improvement on the TDV8 version with the car now happy to trickle along in traffic on its iown.

Oh and two other things that really stood out, the seats are amazingly comfortable and the sound system is awesome.

Big thumbs up to the team at Hadley Green (Mike and Matthew) for a first class handover experience.

My suggestion would be to look on Autotrader.

There are now about 20 ex demos priced from £65 to £75 depending on spec and mileage.

That seems to be the range you need to pay to get a vehicle without the wait.

My Chile Red AB with Santorini black roof, 6500k miles, Oct 2013, is available at £75k. I want to buy a nearly new/new DISCO 4 HSE instead and use the difference for a BMW 335i convertible.

Changed my wheels today from 22" to 20" style 12 alloys complete Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Tyres.

The difference is very significant.

Ride quality both in town and and on A roads and motorways much improved, road noise has dropped very noticeably and the steering no longer wants to pull on cambers or tramline..

It may mean next time I visit the Nurburgring my lap times might be a few seconds slower but I think I can live with that for such a big increase in refinement.

So I am only left with the decision on what to do with the 22" Technical Grey wheels?

Sell them to someone who prefers a firm ride, keep them in case it makes the car more appealing when I sell it or fit winter tyres to them in case we get a bad winter.

As an aside, so far I have not had any issues with the TPMS system which seemed quite happy to talk to the new wheels. MY2010 TDV8 purchased Jan 2017
MY14 HSE Dynamic 3.0 SDV6 sold Sept 2015
MY 2010 TDV8 sold April 2014
MY 2007 V6 HSE sold July 2013

One week since fitting the 20" style 12 wheels to my MY14 HSE Dynamic and for me it has transformed the vehicle into the £75k luxury car it should be. One added benefit I am now getting the full benefit of the sound system upgrade as the road noise is appreciably lower.

Look out on eBay soon for a set of 22" style 6 in technical grey. MY2010 TDV8 purchased Jan 2017
MY14 HSE Dynamic 3.0 SDV6 sold Sept 2015

List them on the for sale section here as well ... save yourself some fees... save yourself dealing with a scammer...

I bought my 21's that I will use for winter tyres from DFY and was the smoothest of transactions... all the way to
