We can arrange Window Tinting from Hook in Hampshire.

I have just had the fronts tinted on my RRS (I know they are now not strictly legal) with a light tint, the rears already had privacy glass and it was approx £90.00 for both front windows.

I can post some pics if you guys would like to see....

Insurers want to know because the tint effectively creates a blind spot ! more chance of an own fault accident. 08 2.7 RRS "S"

If anyone needs them in the Lincoln area Tintz UK are excellent, £150 an fitted in 3 hours.
He's also done 2x 5 series and 1 A6 for me, faultless every time.

I had a set on my old MB E-class estate and managed to get back 70% of the cost of them by selling them on eBay when I bought the sport. Considerably cheaper than tints and you can take them in and out when you feel like it. Probably not as nice an overall look, but for the money I wasn't complaining Thumbs Up


I have bought these and they are superb for £79.99. Note though that the clips that come with them are crap so I used some strips of heavy duty black Velcro cut to size.

The other advantage is no need to inform your insurer and they can be removed in less that 30 seconds. Thumbs Up What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Also more likely to be broken into as a would be thief cannot see if there is anything in there or not so he breaks window to have a look!

Also more desirable to steal with tints.

I honestly never considered informing insurance about things like tinted windows being added, must bear that in mind. Considering it currently along with other mods.

At what point do things not need to be divulged to insurance, I know some things are very obvious like a new exhaust system, but if you just change the tips I would assume this wouldnt?
