Rear discs and pads

One of my rear brakes has 'eaten' the brake disc which is heavily scored - no brake warning light, noise or anything. Does anybody have a idea on cost or replacing rear pads, discs and wear sensors - have had a HUGE range of quotes from franchised and Indy - how many hours work is it?

Many thanks!

Many thanks Martyn

However I think from your signature your price was quoted for a 2.7? The MY10 onwards (3.0 V6 and VCool seem considerably more expensive for some reason (labour/parts?) I should have added mine is a 3.0 MY11

I recently did my rear discs and pads got them from Advanced Factors and have had no issues not to mention the major saving compared with main stealer prices. Thumbs Up

Strange co incidence - I've just picked mine up from the dealer after having the rear pads done. noticed a slight scrape on the disc but no warning. Pads replaced, score checked but in limits no replacement required. Cost £170.00.
Seamed very reasonable.

Many thanks all.

Found an Indy who will do rear pads and discs for £300 plus VAT. Seems costly versus the price of the parts but I don't know how much labour is involved. The disc has been very badly scored - I presume the brake pad has failed but no signal from the wear sensor as no warning light?

£360 is pretty expensive. Should only be a couple of hours labour, tops.

My Indy did the rears - discs and pads - on my TDV8 for £200 fitted including parts using Pagid discs. They seem good and have not corroded yet. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!
