United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

why is it that MY10 3.0TDV6 cars need to be serviced every year regardless of mileage? My X5 typically needs servicing every 16,000 miles which for me is ~18 months. Most new cars seem to judge when a service is needed based on how the car is driven and normally this seems to ba around the 16k mark. It seems crazy that a new car is back to the old world annual service schedule. I'll likely do ~7k miles each year in the RRS which will make the service intervals seem to frequent.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

A lot is down to the use that Land Rover expect their cars to be put to. BTW my 2007MY TDV8 requires 15000 miles or 12 months too. My defender has 6 months or 9000 miles............... at 14 years old and 4000 miles annually maximum these days it gets an annual service whether it needs one or not because it is used 90% of the time off-road. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Some cars have condition-based servicing (i.e. most German marques), others use elapsed time or mileage. Up to you of course if you don't want to adhere to the service schedule, but you might end up running into problems with warranty claims and/or sticky resale questions if you only service it when you want to... heated seats tech advice pls

does anyone (bobby?) know if the heated seats can be retro fitted?

I need to buy a new heater control panel anyway and was wondering if i buy the one with the heated seats on it and install the two heated seat pads, is the wiring in place to hook up ? or is it not that simple ?

any advice from members would be appreciated

Maintenance schedule for RR sport TDV8

Hi All
Has anyone got access to the maintenance schedule for the Range Rover Sport TDV8.
I have one for the TDV6 version. Is the gearbox and axle schedule going to be the same as v6 version with just an engine supplement?

Hi MXSRR
I did have a look at the check sheet from Bobby, it says to replace the cam belts, I thought the TDV8 has a cam chain not a belt?.
