MY14x Spare wheel location

Why o why did they put the spare inside this car ??? .. sure I understand some poor folk here have suffered thieves BUT, what are you thinking JLR ?

I wont go into why but I had reason to put a 22in wheel back in the wheel well of my new MY14 RRS..

God help you if the truck is loaded and you're bush or roadside , Remove everything from the cargo area, take the floor OUT ... find the supplied block and tackle strap thing. Hook up and crane your wheel out or in as the case may be !!!!

I just now realize how simple my D1,2 rear door mount and the D3 and MY10 RRS under body systems were.

Coupled with the fact the rear seats no longer fold flat I am starting to think I'm going to miss the practicality of my old trucks more than I should.. 14 RRS SCV6 HSE Corris/Ebony/Ivory

Had a puncture on my Evoque yesterday, was surprised at the weight of the 20" wheel. A 21 or 22 would be worse and I'd rather lift it out of the boot well than mess about under the car on a rainy dark night. I do think it's at the limit of what you might want to attempt yourself especially how high you have to jack up the car so that the wheel clears the ground. Mark
