Stop / Start - auto ignition off???

Guys

How do I stop the at switching off the ignition when it thinks I'm done???
- Sometimes, not always, when I put the car in Park and open the drivers door , the ignition gets switched off.

So so annoying when one is just jumping in the back to adjust a child's seatbelt for example.
- then I have to push like 5 buttons to put the rear screens back on. PITA.

And; it seems to happen randomly.

What's happening here chaps? 2022 P440e AB

Is there not a button which disables stop/start?

Previous cars which I have driven with stop/start all had a button which disabled the function. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Just switch off the stop/start before you jump out of the car for a short moment.

If you take off your seat belt or open the door whilst in the 'stopped' phase then it will switch itself off. You can either (as said before) switchy the Eco off with the button or make sure the engine is running before you take your belt off/open the door.

Ahh, I have been wondering why I had exactly the same symptoms as the OP. Seemingly random, but maybe it is the seatbelt action... 2014 MY RRS HSE Dynamic

Thanks guys. You've nailed it.

Thing is... I like stop start. I don't like ignition off when I take my seatbelt off when parked.
- often, I'll stop and expect rear screens, nav, radio to keep going. But alas no. Not in the new RRS. 2022 P440e AB

so... if you want to keep the rear screens on for example; or the radio; or anything else...

and you want to get out the car... (by removing your seatbelt)...

you need to hit the eco button, which will restart the engine - just to keep the ignition on... thats mental right? 2022 P440e AB

If anyone knows how to access what would normally be accessory position on the key, would be most useful at times.. 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
