Electric Towbar - what did you pay?

HI everyone. Now at the build order stage and I need clarification about what people are paying for the electric towbar. The configurator is showing this at £1940 but I seem to recall that there was discussion on here about the price being similar to the FFRR at about £900. What is actually being charged for this option at the ordering stage?

Thanks

I understad it costs £1940 if the dealer fits the Electric deployable towbar however, if you order it as a factory option, it costs £950 including VAT.

BTW Premium Carpet mats are a £65 factory option however, they are considerably more if you order these via the dealer. Current:

thanks chaps that is really good to know. My dealer is not very clued up about this. His idea for pricing is to look at the configurator. Is there a proper LR options list and price list available anywhere?

has anyone else had similar prices from a factory fit?

Alex

Your dealer just need to look on his computer system which lists the factory options and prices. Thats how I found out about the premium Mat price.

If you get no Joy, have a chat with the James at Hadley Green who are site sponsors. Alternatively, I'm happy to put you in touch with my dealer who do know their products and have been honest with delivery times and potential reasons for delay. Current:

Just to finish the thread, all ends well with the factory fit option selected for £950 and the on-line system giving prices! Just one last thought, doe the towbar fittment come with the electrics or do they have to be specified separately?

I think circa £1,000 is a fair price. I specced an electric tow bar on my 5 series and having seen it in action, I think it was well worth it. BMW charged me £880 (less a bit of dealer discount) so I think the price you've paid is fair Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Towbar in Australia.

They want $2600 (£1450) down here in Aus. But hey, we are now one of the most expensive countries in the world due to not being affected too much by the global financial crisis. The market here is JLR's most profitable.
Also what do you mean "electric tow bar" ? There is no mention of it as an option here. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!
