RRS AB in Chile

Here's a couple of photos of my A/B in Chile..out of showroom lighting. 250 miles now, and love every moment of it. Goes like the wind and corners like a large go kart! Much larger than I thought it would be, quite wide, but a splendid place to be in. The seats are superb!

The only think I don't like is the eco stop/start mode, which recommences every time the car is restarted.

Looks awesome. Cool

I found the stop/start to be very good, an will keep it activated most of the time when my car comes. Thumbs Up

Any mods planned? Wink Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Very nice. Don't think it needs any mods, it looks great the way it is. Cool

The new RRS is really growing on me, still not a fan of the rear end but i think i could live with it.

Looking to change mine next year for either a new RRS or FFRR, don't know what to go for. At least i have plenty of time to think about it. Laughing 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

And here's a pic of the controversial rear end! I originally ordered one last April, then cancelled it after seeing a few promo shots, and changed to another D4, but then seeing the new RRS in the flesh, changed my mind once again. I'm now happy I did.

I have a notion in the future to go with the upcoming 4.4tdv8....whilst the performance specs seem not too far removed from the 3.0 diesel, having had an earlier RRS tdv8 3.6 which had a huge urge from 40 mph onwards, I suspect the 4.4 will be quite something!

Which engine did you go for? I see you went for the fancy 22 inch wheel option. Looks great though I agree the Eco mode thing is a pain.

It's interesting that Chili and Firenze Red look so similar by the time they've been through the picture taking and internet posting, at least on my iPad, even though they are quite different to look at. Mark

Chili with Almond?

Anybody ordered or got one in Chili with Almond interior? I really like Chili and was going to order with Black/Lunar interior but feel a change is in order as all my previous cars have black interior. As we live on a dirt road black shows up the dust too much.
Finding it difficult to imagine this combo. Any pics would be good. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!
1983 2 door Range Rover ARB Bar X9000 winch ARB Rear Bar now semi retired.
Many big trips done in this one.
1982 Rangerover nearly restored.
22 Defender D250 with lots of stuff for outback touring
Nice 2013 Freelander TD4 manual (for daughter to learn on) with much better stereo compared with previous SD4 SE with Meridian which sounded bad!
2013 Land Rover Defender ute.

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

After 2 months with the new RRS AB in Chilli as above, a couple of thoughts...

1/ The rear - originally I ordered a new RRS in April, then changed my mind after seeing the promo shots, then changed my mind again after seeing the showroom model. It's a bit like the wife having a new hairdo...first it's a bit of a shock, but then it gels! I was in the same camp of the pre 2014 RRS owners in that I thought it looked too Evoqueish, but once you've had it for several weeks, you can understand that the old shape RRS rear wouldn't work here. Cynics might say..ah well he'd say that anyway, but it does work! I've completely changed my opinion now.
2/ Colour : Chilli with the black pano roof, plus privacy and gloss black grill, gloss black 'air intake' surrounds on the bonnet hits the spot. The rear undertray is gloss black, but less obvious. Wing mirrors gloss black, but I think red would be fine also. Very favourable comments from people I don't know!
3/ Eco stop start : real nuisance. Should be able to be switched off like the Freelander.
4/ Fog lights front and rear now all on the light stack which is not illuminated. So, too many functions on one stalk which in the winter you have to remember what does what in the dark.
5/ Road holding is like a very large go kart.
6/ Much wider though...
7/ Electric tailgate is nice, auto demisting front and rear screens, is very welcome! Pano roof super.
8/Meridian sound system - subwoofer seems now to be in the footwell as my feet were getting blasted by the bass!
9/ Auto full beam, not a fan of.
10/ Performance - floor it in sport mode!
11/ AB perforated seats with electric bolsters - I like.
