Why no 22" wheel option with third row seating?

Is there anything "official" as to why LR wont let you configure 22" wheels with the 3rd row ?

Is it because of potentially too much weight in the rear or will the 22" wheels physically not fit ?

Is it that you cannot specify 22 inch wheels or a full sized spare? Maybe in the US, all cars come with a full sized spare instead of the next-to-useless cans of gunk.

I believe the issue is simply that there is not enough space for a 22 inch spare and the third row seats. Mark

I think that it is a problem with space.

The RRS2 carries it's spare wheel inside the vehicle and is stowed in a wheel well under the floor of the rear load space. This is also the area where the extra seats fold away in the +2 version.

When equipped with the 3rd row seats, there is no room for a spare. Both the US and UK get a "tire repair system".

This applies when configuring the car with any size wheel (even 19" or 20")

My question is why wont Land Rover allow configuration of third row with anything larger than a 20" wheel ?

Is it because the wheel well of a car with the third row seat is actually smaller and cannot fit a larger wheel ? Or because Land Rover doesnt want an SUV full of 7 people driving on 22" wheels ?

When looking at our order and doing the spec I noticed the load rating of the tyres is less when running the 22 inch rims.

So if fully loaded with all 7 seats and a roof rack and towing and all the rest it could be over the max weight per tyre.
