I would like to know what the forum members think of the tyres .( in my case Continental Cross Contact 19'')? I'm not too sure about them but I would like other opinions. RRS TDV6 HSE BUCKINGHAM BLUE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR RHODIUM TASMOD SILLS CHROME GRILLE CHROME VENTS CHROME LETTERING PARROT 3000 EVOLUTION WHITE SIDE REPEATERS RRPORT.CO.UK BROLLY & STICKER

See my message about drifting, in Europe Land Rover doesn`t deliver the RRS with the terrible Continental tyres anymore.
I have three months all kind of problems with this tyres ( Vibrations etc. )
The way Land Rover tries to solve the problems is the same way as Lada in the sixties TERRIBLE

Seems I have the same tyres as Biggles.

I expect we won't see the words RRS and Lada in the same sentence again for a long, long time!! Laughing

Very nice, Biggles - any pics of the upgraded wheels in place? I remember you posting the picture of them still in their wrappers...

Eagle eye martin....

I have the standard 20" Continental Sport Contacts. So fsar had no issues with them, just hope they last a decent mileage, but with such a heavy car I reckon tyres could be something we chew through more than we'd like.

Can anyone recommend any other Tyres apart from 19" Continental Cross Contact Tyres .Idon't do that much off-roading. The Continentals are too fragile. Diamaris or Wranglers are these better? RRS TDV6 HSE BUCKINGHAM BLUE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR RHODIUM TASMOD SILLS CHROME GRILLE CHROME VENTS CHROME LETTERING PARROT 3000 EVOLUTION WHITE SIDE REPEATERS RRPORT.CO.UK BROLLY & STICKER

My RRS came equiped with the Conti Cross Contact UHP, which in my opinion is a great fair weather high performance tire. That said, it is NOT an all season tire and offers very little traction in "off road" or foul weather situations. I subsequently received from my dealer an additional set of tires, Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow, which I installed for winter. They are incredible and a must for where we live, the Sierras located in Northern California/Nevada.

Hello Davis,

Did you also look at the Goodyear MT/R...and when you say the dealer gave you a set of tires...you mean literally or they sold them to you?

Thanks,

I did look at Gdyr and a number of other brands as well. I made my decision based on the consumer feedback at the Tire Rack web site. The Pirelli Scorpian's performance had them all beat for snow and ice. The one criteria that I put a premium on is ice, we get quite a bit of "black ice" in the Sierra's.

The dealer did pay for the tires, I had posted some time ago that the RRS is advertised with all season tires as original equipment. The Conti Cross Contact UHP is not, it is a "summer high performance" tire. My dealer agreed and simply requested that I have a set of M&S tires installed and send him the bill for reimbursement.

They also let me keep the Conti's, I'll have them mounted at the end of winter season.

Hope that helps...
