Landrover production c*ck up...

Having just spoken to my dealer after my holiday to check on the progress of my car, he told me that a batch of 10 Sports have had to be returned or delayed as they were fitted with left hand drive seatbelts.

This means that they look ok, but the fixing is the wrong way round..I am still trying to picture how different it can be....anyway, luckily my car was not part of that batch!

Great Quality control at LR then... L319 D4 HSE

Quality control issues and the hand brake light has started to stay on for about 15 mins after car is locked. Also on occasion a slight rumble through the steering column, and I personally do not think the heater works as it should (warm air to feet and cold to screen).
Quality issues are incorrect rear door shut gap, scuff on dash from day of delivery and also centre cubby box, rear headrest leather wont seat in its closed position (best description i can give is where the two sides of the leather meet, then the clip that holds it together will not stay in its mounting).
Minor problems in my eyes but inconvenient none the less. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Mr Biggles,

I'v noticed some of the same issues or problems with mine. Here are things that I'v noticed:

1. Parking Brake light stays on for about 10 minutes after vehicle is turned off.
2. I too had a couple of scuff marks on my hood at vehicle delivery. Dealer had to repaint hood. Now I don't have the "Range Rover' name tag on my hood. "Backorder".
3. Rear left pillar does not fit flush with carpeted area. There is a gap between the plastic and the carpeted portion of the pillar.
4. Suspension has already gone out on me. Waiting for new compressor.
5. Rear seats do not recline at all.
6. Headrest do not tilt.
7. The fact that no accessories are available for it.

Minor issues, but issues at that.

Don't get me wrong, there are many positive points I can point out about the vehicle too.. otherwise, I wouldn't own one.

Collected car back from dealers,
At first glance in fading light the dash actually looks worse Shocked will have good look in daylight. The rear headrest has been placed on order as has the seal for the window surround Smile .
I am being told the park brake light is functioniing correctly. The heater blend motor has been reconfigured but personnaly I detect no difference, I would like forum members to let me know how other RRS sre doing in this area.
Do you have cold air coming out of the windscreen vents when the heater is set to 22 degrees or above and warm air to the footwell area. I appreciate that this is a climate control system but don't like to be driving with cold air reflected from the screen into my eyes. Let me know if this happens on all models mine is a UK spec TDV6. I am also wondering that if this how it should be will it generate wnough heat to remove frost, ice and clear fogged up windows in winter.
The rear door shut gap has been corrected.

Hope that this is the last visit to the dealers for a long while but somehow don't think so as the heater does'nt seem right to me. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

My old BMW used to only heat the floor and let "cool" air out of the regular vents. This was done purposfully to prevent people from dosing off at the wheel. The cool air is supposed to be more refreshing and keep you awake.

Hello sad RRS owners
When I was reading your forums about a quality and many mechanical problems in addition to the software issues I was just wondering wither to decide to place my order for new SC, RRS
I was lucky to test this car before I had read all it problems, from the test drive I like it from it appearance I prefer it more that is bigger brother, now coming to the point do you all think that the bigger brother is more reliable one I don't guess so
Do you all agree that the reliability is one of the old issue through all land rover products I guess yes even during the owner ship of BMW not much changes and now with new owner of Ford things are getting worst
That's a fact no comparisons with Japanese babies and RRS in terms of quality and reliably but the fact is people love range rover sport. like me so I have to except the fact and leave next to dear door with unlimited warranty that's all what I'm planning to do to be one of the RRS owner like guys
Laughing
