Mood lighting ! help please on new sport

Hi , have a new sport 3.0 autobiography with mood lighting as standard..
the "actual" mood lighting u can change the colour of is two tiny leds in the front of the centre console, either side...
so just lights up (well hardly lights up but try's to the centre cup holders)
nothing else in the car changes colour, so that's it !!
have asked dealer but none the wiser !
I ask is that really it ?! my rr 2013 model had loads more "mood lighting" even an evoque has lights in the doors changing colour and behind the centre console !
anyone else be able to check their car and see if it really is that poor !!!
shame as love the car but for £80k I am not impressed if that's it !!!

Can't answer your question, but I have to say mood lighting all seems a little bit 'Sugar Hut' or TOWIE to me (local reference for you, I'm sure you know what I mean Laughing ) ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

Hello, I still don´t have my RR, but some mate posted about his one, and it seems the mood light is in the centre console only.

Anyway it looks nice!

However I agree, too por for this car.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

why do you need mood lighting when you own this car? surely you're in a good mood? but maybe LR feared that many new owners would start to regret the price they paid, so they put the mood lighting in? Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

I was equally unimpressed. Another completely pointless addition and I'd certainly feel cheated if I'd selected it as an option rather than it being standard on my ATB.

Pretty sure the New FFRR has a much more comprehensive mood lighting setup - footwells/doors etc. I only had the Vogue before I got my Sport and didn't thing the £300-odd was worth it in that. I quite like the idea of subtly coloured and configurable interiors but in the Sport is really is a joke.

In the MY14.5 pricelist there seems to be an upgrade to the mood lighting (for Autobiography spec only)

well in at the dealers at the moment as they looking into it, so could be be news here soon !
my mood lighting is set to red ! for anger ! as think what a poxy waste of time it is !!
real shame they let such a cracking car down with this pathetic excuse for mood lighting !
especially as even on a 30k evoque the door handles change colour !!
they could also do with getting rid of that stop start ! it drives me up the wall ! keep having to turn it off !
one small point anyone noticed it turns itself off by itself when u release ur seatbelt when coming to a stop & going in reverse !, cant work it out but seems to turn off as if the stop button is pressed without pressing it !
normally when I come to a stop and take my seat belt off and am about to reverse... very strange
my late new model vogue did the same and I could never work that out either !!

Unfortunately stop start is the price for the cheaper tax...im not looking forward to having it and constantly having to turn it off...whats worse is I though start up cycles are the killer for any car. Mike

Im not sure that's true...a/c was definitely on when we had one for the day and it stopped at the junction, I know it wont turn off when there are certain heating conditions which might be, too cold or to warm therefore requiring more heating or cooling than the system has built up Mike

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 SE Santorini Black

The RR I test-drove would start/stop with the A/C on, but if you were stopped for more than 10 ~ 15sec, it would start the engine - presumably to maintain the set cabin temperature. Mind you, it was a 40degC day!

Yeah that's expected - they say that in the manual for start stop - to maintain heat and cold, when it cant do it on what it has, it will restart the engine. Mike

up date re the mood lighting !

well I can report that the mood lighting on a new sport is not worth a cent !
utter rubbish ! ,on the FFRR its worth having but 100% a waste of time !
the brochure is a complete fabrication of the truth !
I have spoken to lr and explained that the brochure and screen indicates u change the ambience of the interior etc but the truth is far from that !
so don't be drawn into the dream !!!
there are 4 tiny lenses on the front of the centre console that change colour on demand, probably actually from one bulb that is projected through the four outlets ! u can hardly see it if its on !

ALSO it gets better, on a 2010 mdl sport there are small led lights in the door bin pockets, door pull and door catch lever so 3 areas of light in the front door's . On a new Sport Autobiography costing £80k ! u get ONE a tiny led where the door catch is and that is it !!!

Anyway rant over ! just a shame progression can't be for the better ! LR just say that is how it is ! usual story !

On a positive note I found the dynamic button on the auto terrain response so I can now change the dash rev counter etc to RED to match my mood !!
