Engine system fault

My rrs 06 tdv6 has just stopped completely on me , still got power and turns over but refuses to start , had aa out and looked at it and it never showed any more info on his diagnostic machine other than a engine system fault , he says its a fuel issue , he also sprayed quick start down the breather and it fired up for a sec hence he says its a fuel issue , pump pressure was only 1.4 say it shout be 4000 or something . Anyone had this problem before.
