Bumper Removal

They maybe trouble ahead! any one know how to remove the rear and eventually front bumpers from a RRS MY10, I have parking sensor problems ; its got to be the daft little connections,
I got as far as removing all the screws along the back edge, but now its the sides I cant seem to see how they are held in place?,I would be grateful for any advise, just in case I reverse over small animals or children a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it

Ah yes I did find that youtube entry, 'tried that' and as those annoying little vermin say 'simples'; only It wasnt got as far as all the fixing but it would not budge! and I didn't want to force it.
I know this guy has done it ,but i was wondering if anyone off here had undertaken it? and if there are any tricks to it?, a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it

pm sent - I have removed both bumpers on many occasions - used the same video but like all Powerful Uk videos they seem to miss parts out Evil or Very Mad .The bumpers are located into docking stations that are fastened to the body of the car just give them a forceful pull - I've never caused any damage - the only advice is beware the bolts underneath on the front bumper they tend to break easy then they become a pain in the Censored

Good Luck. Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Spend an uncomfortable afternoon lying on your back under the front drilling out the broken bolts and running a tap down the holes (M5 IIRC) then replace the bolts with nice shiny stainless socket heads with stainless washers. Also a PIA but you only have to do it once. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

On a 2010 RRS, could you not replace the rear parking sensors without disturbing the rear bumpers? Malaysia Boleh!

I have removed the top cover revealing a tempting glimpse of things to come, but unless you have fingers like spiders legs and eye's on stalks like some creature from star wars, I think it would be unlikely,

I have had the rear lights off revealing the connection plug the top cover revealing the perforated bumper ,removed all the underlying screws with no signs of the harness or proximity sensors ,I felt I was well on my way to the final part of the jigsaw but there was that numb feeling so I bottled it, all I need to do is repeat the process and exert a firm nudge, 'apparently'.

I have had some good tips of the forum and solid encouragement, so I'm getting there ! remember a job well planned is a job half done, In the words of Grace Jones I've just got to 'move up to the bumper baby'. a womans rule of thumb:if it has tyres or testicles your going to have trouble with it

As I mentioned earlier, on the 2010 vehicles, if it's just the parking sensors then no need to take off the bumper...

For the outer sensors..

and for the inner ones ..
