2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue
ideal tire size for 22"?

since the first time i saw the 22" stormer, i'm having hard time keeping them off my mind. Twisted Evil
but, at the same time, i would like to take precautions before i commit myself against my wife.

[Q1]
what would be the ideal 22" tire size for RRS? so far i've found deals on ebay.

(dunlop) 265 35VR22
(Brand not specified) 295/30/22
(TOYO PROXES) 285 35 22 106 Y RATED
(TOYO PROXES) 285-35-22 XL TYRES
any comment would be most welcomed.

[Q2]
would i need a spacer? of what size?

i've had some trouble with fitting over-size rims and tires in the past
where the tires were rubbing against the housing and made the car stall.

thanks for the insight, in advance. Thumbs Up MY08 TDV8 HSE

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Hello new poster , but ive looked into this topic Range rover sports come standard with a 275.40.20 tyre which has a diameter of 728mm depending on brand

The tyre shops ive seen offer 22" tyres are as follows 265.35.22 which works out at 744mm
295.30.22 which works out at 736mm
285.35.22 which works out at 758.mm

I am just about to buy some stormer wheels in 22 inch and are going to get the 285.35.22 as apparentley they fill the arches better and give a better rided But i was told if there is any warrenty issues like gearbox and it has to go to the main dealer i should change the wheels back to my originals as the diameter is larger, and they may get a bit funny. I have mate who also has the 285 tyres and he hasent any problems yet on his sport Very Happy

I've just bought 275 40 22 tyres which will be wrapped around some stormers - most probs 9.5j width as original 22 inch rims on the new sport are 9.5j too.

LR never made 22 inch Stormers, are they replicas? If so it might be worth checking the weight rating on the back to make sure they are safe for the vehicle, many replicas arn't. Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

Previous: Mercedes CLS, BMW 330cd M sport, Nissan 200sx, Impreza STi, EP3 Civic Type R

Agree with MisterAdam - RR did not make 22` stormers & anything less than 30 tyre wall will cause problems - I know I scrapped 3 wheels & 2 tyres ( TOYO `s so they was not a cheap brand ) less than 6 months ago. Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Agreed, that stormers don't come in 22 inch. I was just saying I've bought 275 40 22 tyres - which come as standard on the new 2013 sport - I'm going to use these on the stormers.
