5+2 seats

Have mine on order but have been slightly unnerved by talks of delay and very limited usability on the +2 rear seats.
Anyone got these or had a sit in them?
Pictures, videos etc.. all very greatfully recieved.
My dealer was suggesting LR are silent on the issue.

Can you fit a baby seat in?

What height could you be and sit in them?
I guess the seat depth and gap to middle row would be good.

How does access work?

Cheers

Have ordered the 5+2. Have seen them when they had the display days in London. Don't expect anything like real seats. They are as advertised, tiny and not for adults except if you are into the most extreme forms of yoga. Easy to pop them out at the push of a button.
Access is also tight, the bottom part of the middle row seat slide forward and the backrest too but not a big opening, just enough for a foot and the car is pretty high. Also the pre prod models were not that smooth to operate and sliding middle seats was way too hard. LR rep said it would be addressed. If you expect Merc GL type of seating with proper access and seats you will be disappointed.
However for me, it really is only for kids for the occasional use when I am the family taxi (seemingly my main job on w-e Smile )
As for production, I was told t is due to start in October and haven't heard otherwise.
Have a late oct prod date.
Strangely despite having 60 cars at the R&D event, none had the 7 seats option, not sure if that indicates a problem. When I asked why, the LR chap said they were taken away after the previous event so might be so quality control issues.

U could only fit a base booster seat not a shell I think. And you will be in pain doing so, I recall a fond session with an X5 doing exactly that few yrs back. Seat base is short, prob no more than 60cm and gap to middle row very short if you don't move the middle row fwd, in which case everybody is upset as middle row legroom gets very tight.

They have been producing them for a while and with 7 seats! i dont know when they will be available for market.

No way you can fit an adult or young adult ('outh) in the seats (and use the 2nd row!) neither my wife or i could use them.

I sat in them and they are ok, but they arent the main seats and arent as comfy.

Seen a few electrically operated gremlins, it does seem to be an overly complicated solution for what could have been straight forward.

I cant see a reason why you wouldnt be able to get a child seat that uses the normal seat belt system

Access is through (primarily), sliding row 3 forward, which doesnt give the most room...any im not fat and very flexible!

Does that help Mike

That's very helpful. Thx
It seems odd that all the +2 models are locked away. My dealer specifically asked for one of their four demos to have it.
And didn't get it. I cant find one on demo with any of the other local dealers either.

Does anyone know of a London based dealer with a 5+2 on demo?

And no 22" wheels either when you order 5+2...
Although I am unclear what the issue is, just comfort or lack of spare?
Assume one could fit 22" post delivery but haven't investigated wether that would creates any problem.
Anybody knows more?
