Hi,

I had an issue with the info-tainment in my 13.5 MY Black HSE.

It's now sorted but both me and the Dealer learnt a lot about the system whilst trying to sort it out.
1. If you connect your i-phone with the lead, it stops the Bluetooth working.
2. My problem was with the USB socket(s) but this affeced Bluetooth as well.
3. It ended up being two (associated) problems but it took some sorting.

Here goes:-

Initial snag:-

SATNAV "re-iniitalised" randomly. Driving through Somerset - map showed Brussels (Belgium) !! USB music stopped (every couple of minutes) and wouldn't re-start. I-phone connectivity stopped and wouldn't run, I-phone music would work over Bluetooth, Auto Frequency wouldn't work on the radio. Tried 5 different USB stick, branded (HP / Sandisk ) and un-branded.
Tried "master re-set of the car" - no change.

Diagnosis - AMI module defective.

New module fitted (£2500 allegedly !!!- thank god for warrranty).

SATNAV ....cured. AF on the radio....cured. USB drop-out extended to once every couple of hours, i-phone locked out at the same time.

Diagnosis - Wiring loom from USB soickets to AMI module.

New loom fitted.

So far - so good !!!!!

Dealer has been great, loan cars have been either RRS's or D4 HSE's. LR warranty were (allegedly) less than helpful - taking two days to authorise the new (£50) USB loom !!

I hope this helps.

Wainy, have you tried completely removing your phone (ie deleting it from the BT menu) then going through the process to add it back in ? ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

yeah i think so too....i did go on a demo day recently and it worked in the new range rover and when i grabbed a sales guy to tell him my problem it worked in mine again straight away and made an idiot out of me...it then lost it again on my next attempt at home.....very confusing.

Are you able to try with another device, eg iPod or another iPhone Question
Could be worth elimination your 4s as being the problem before you start pushing your LR dealer to resolve Wink ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
