United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue
Scratching an itch.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, I test drove a new SDV6 Sport yesterday while waiting for my car to have its slipping transmission diagnosed. Have to say I was very surprised at what a vast improvement they have made over the old model. This car is alive, can be driven quickly on twisty stuff or in cruising mode. It is responsive and quick and benifits from its diet hugely. Drove a new Fullfat back to back and have to say the SDV8 will be some weapon when they manufacture it. Now in a quandary as what to do, as V8 won't be available until this time next year. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Which one did you come from?

It would seem those of us with the 13MY the jump isnt massive, but those with even an 11MY the jump is significant Mike

Arrived in my Fullfat, so out of articulated barge and into new sport Bow down
As the new car is over half a tonne lighter than the last model you will be surprised, as it is nearly a tonne lighter than my old sport, as you say, the difference is very marked Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I was very impressed by the refinement and handling and will probably order an HSE Dynamic for a March 2015 delivery when the niggles have been sorted out and the choice of engines has been expanded. My only criticisms are the over light brakes and the deployable side steps on the demo vehicle which were more of a hindrance than a help.

It must be just me - ive driven the things for 2 days nearly now and i didnt feel it was a massive handling improvement (when not on the track) day to day.

I personally still get hung up on the price hike and the rear of the thing...i might be back in a sport in 3 years i suspect...but then who knows Mike
