To be honest i think i would have to look at the small print, took a service plan on my wifes car, and had it serviced and drove past the dealers and they were close down, a call to the warranty company who handles the service plan has resulted in a refund, but they continued to take my payments each month, even though I could not transfer it to another dealer, but they said it was in hope of another dealer taking it over, i wonder how many months they will have done this for

On other brands this is typically transferrable when you sell the car during the period.
