Restricted Performance!!!

Hi Guys,

Got into my car 40 minutes ago and got about 5 miles down the road before I noticed it was on Restricted Performance!
Does anybody have any idea what could cause this?

I have abandoned my journey to work and am awaiting LRA!

Really not happy as it's only a couple of months old Evil or Very Mad

Cheers,

Rich Now

Turned out that the O-Ring between the Air Intake and engine had "blown out" of alignment.

Result was it spayed a small amount of some oily residue on the inside of my engine and the difference in "Correlation" (AKA actual and intended figures) sent up a warning to the on-board computer to put the car into Restricted Performance mode.

LRA turned up at home, about 45 minutes after calling them, plugged in the fault reader and looked at the engine bay......oily residue was like a big yellow arrow pointing at the problem! Took it apart, replaced the original part as it was still perfectly good and resealed the unit. Fault cleared and no other problems since.

Apparently it's quite a rare fault, he has only seen it 4 times in about 20 years and it's usually because the rubber O-ring wasn't seated correctly in the factory. Now
