United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Roll up, roll up! Cool

I had streaming issues but just been through the site. Looks superb, pleased with the 7 seat option, fantastic choice of wheels, 5.0 SC 0-60 in 5 Secs will be interesting. Also impressed with the ribbed style seats.

Need to do some homework on it!

Well done Land Rover.................. again!

Still not sure about that rear but does look better in other colours. May be opinion will change when I see it in flesh ... very soon.

Here we go:

RRS2 press release wrote:
A choice of two full-time 4WD systems will be offered. One system provides a two-speed transfer case with low-range option, for the most demanding off-road conditions with a front-rear 50/50 percent default torque split, and 100 percent locking capability.

The alternative system is 18kg lighter and features a single-speed transfer case with a Torsen differential, which automatically distributes torque to the axle with most grip, working together with the traction control systems to deliver excellent traction in all conditions. The default front-rear torque split of 42/58 percent is designed to provide a rear-wheel drive bias for optimum driving dynamics.

So there is an optional transfer box, which suits those who want it and for the majority the car is 18kg lighter and that's a CO2 benefit. Smart.

So LR have copied VW and the Touareg by offering a "yummy mummy" version (which most will buy) and an "off road" version which will be as rare as hen's teeth (the Touareg Escape is very rare compared to the Touareg Altitude).

Which makes sense as most LR products are blinged and polished rather than offroaded these days. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

My thoughts are that the "tint photo" did do it justice it did look to have the same RRS lines

But last night stream showed it in a different light with out the fat tinter stood next to it and I thought they pulled the rabbit out of the hat, it's got very nice lines and in the right colour, grey, the car looks very modern and updated

I'll have a better look today on the config site but with the spec starting at box standard £51500 SE I won't be getting one, back to deciding on what to get again Laughing

Tried to have a play with the configurator but, like LR's generally, it doesn't work properly it seems. The options list out in a way that wraps out of the screen and there is no scroll option. *Sigh*

But, no 4.4TDV8 and the low range box isn't standard (so it's an Evoque-S at this stage, not a RR-S). Couldn't find out if one can select a locking rear diff (I assume it's in the options list somewhere). Stainless steel front and rear bash plates are shown but can't tell if they're just for styling or are robust panels.

I suppose I'd better save up for the real thing then...2 year old FFRR in a couple of years 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Czech Republic 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
Colour Choice

I work in design. Best colour for this car is Corris Grey. Roof should be contract black with full panorama. Wheels should be 21" 5 split spoke diamond finish. Interior black, best goes wwith dark grey exterior I would take full black interior with piano finish and black headlining.

I would take RRS HSE SDV6 Dynamic Pack (black grille, vents, mirrors, is a nice touch).

Extras: not much is necessary at this point, maybe interior mood lighting is a nice touch.

That is it. Around 69,0000 (80,000 eur incl VAT)

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Martin - any idea of when the TDV8 will be launched?

Wished I had've gotten in in my 2010 and every time I've heard a tdv8 it makes me cry a bit!

I want a new sport and I'm due for a change in June but would dearly love the V8 derv but if its going to be ages the SDV6 or even the petrol V6 may be enough for me MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

I doubt they will make SDV8 for RRS. It is not necessary. SDV6 with 292hp is enough.

also what is strange is the models versions, theres no consistency between brands

the RRS is SE, HSE, Dynamic, Autobiography Dynamic

the Freelandler however goes GS, XS, Dynamic, HSE, HSE Lux
