LIONS FUNDRAISING 4WD TAG-ALONG TOUR: HUNTER VALLEY April 6

I'd like to extend an invite out to all of my fellow RRS friends within cooee of the Hunter to join us on a fundraising initiative for our Local Lions Australia branch that I am also a founding member of.

We are raising funds to support the establishment of a new local indigenous program to promote the history of the region and help with the ongoing protection of some of the most significant aboriginal art sites in Australia.

The tag-along tour will combine visits to some fantastic local sites as well as some great 4wd tracks.

For more info, check out the facebook event that has been set up for the tour.

https://www.facebook.com/events/606033989411514/

Would love to see you all up in the Hunter for a weekend.

Could even organise a special members tasting at Brokenwood on the Sunday if you are all keen Wink

Cheers

Jimmy welcome back, where you been hiding. Would a standard RRS on crap road going footwear manage the course, or is it
only for "modded" beasts

Cheers

Hey Zilch - great to be back!

Have been hiding out on the tracks making mischief as usual and spending time putting videos together. Have been very remiss in dropping in here regularly to say hi.

I was actually going to make a special provision in the trip to include a 'Land Rovers' allowance for road rubber given how well they perform. It really depends on weather in the Watagans as there is a lot of clay. If it's dry weather you'd be fine for the tracks we will be doing.

Surprised though you haven't shod the new girl with some decent rubber as yet. Will she take 18" rims? If so you could borrow a set of my A/T's Wink 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6

I would need a set of the compomotive rims due to the size of the brakes i am afraid Jimmy Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Unfortunately not mine Meccles. It belongs to one of my best mates Scott Russell who is a member of our Misadventure 4WD Club and features in a number of the videos on our youtube channel.

It's a real weapon.

Keep your eyes peeled on 4WD Action magazine. You'll see our 60th anniversary SVX Defender in there Wink Should be May edition. 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6

I was looking at the adventurealltheway website at the 14 day itinerary for the Adelaide to Darwin jaunt, surely that is
about a 1/3rd of the time you would need to enjoy the trip ?? Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

We're doing Perth-Ayers Rock-Simpson-Adelaide-Perth, and that's only 10 days (pressed for time due to work commitments), but we'll still enjoy it. Guess it depends on how long you want to stop.

Need to start finalising numbers - get your tickets now!

Howdy all,

We really need to fill all the ticketed places to make this fundraiser a success.

Would love to see some of the crew up here in the Hunter for a great day of offroading. There will likely be a lot of other marques there on the day and it would be nice to have a good representations of RRS's along to showcase their abilities.

Please let me know if you can come along.

Cheers and thanks
