Aux audio connector and power supply in rear

Hi,
I am trying to connect an iPod. I have read about a 'mini-audio' + 12V panel at the rear of the central console. I don't have this, but there is a small storage compartment.

I have removed this and can see two connectors:
- an audio aux socket?
- a 12v spade connector?

Any idea what connector I need for the one that looks like an audio socket?
Am I on the right path here?

Thanks

Yeah your on the right path, I got mine off ebay. It's 3 cables in 1, 1 has jack plug for the aux, 1 has the 30 pin connection for your ipod and the other cable is a usb connection which plugs into a charger (supplied with it) that goes into your cigarette lighter. Think it cost me £9, comes in White or black, I got black goes better with the car.

Can you give me a link to an item on ebay? I am not sure I can see the right adapter.

I don't have a jack plug, nor the 'aux media front' with the connector and 12v power.
I just have a whole with the two raw sockets.

I can cope with the 12v connector (doh!) but I haven't a clue on the rectangular multi-pin connector

Thanks

This is what you should see mate

The right hand is the ciggy lighter that the USB charger fits and the left is simply a 3.5mm jack cable that goes into the speaker socket on the iPhone.

it actually all sits nice together, save having your ipod or iphone sliding about..

Did you ever sort this out?
My 2008 rrs has the same storage compartment and no aux lead.
im thinking of foitting an alpine ezi dab but that works off the fm so there would be no controls.
my radio has an aux button there should be an input lead somewhere Range Rover Sport tdv6 2.7

Problem solved!
Ok I have now had an alpine ezi dab put in
it is wired in to aux on the back of the radio
it gives me an aux that i have as a cable in the centre storage bin and a usb input that reads and charges my ipod!
and i have dab that works brilliantly.
So far it is a great way of connecting the music from my iphone 4s and ipod.
the phone is controlled from the wheel buttons and the radio and the ipod is controlled by the ezidab
The ezidab is mounted just below the airbag warning and just above the phone button
