You may not believe on first viewing.

Do you think he used HDC for the return leg?

I guess he had HDC engauged but obviously using his foot brake aswell. I certainly wouldn't of had my arm hanging out of the window just incase it went pear shaped. Big Cry

Firstly you need to understand just how much grip rubber has - especially on the right surface...tyres are made to grip and any climber would understand the principles from climbing boots on a rock wall. of course there are other additional factors that help adhesion...but the principle is the same as being on a tarmac road that is dry

So now your sticking the usual engine/braking/gearing etc systems keep your wheels under-control and thus the car.

When driving off road you always want to go as slow as possible and as fast a necessary - so in this setting you dont want to let the car get away from you, so by keeping it slow, the car can grip the required amount to keep itself under control Mike

There is one moment when to car looks like it is going to start sliding down and it's caught. Not sure if this is the driver braking of the HDC kicking in. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

Not sure HDC would keep it down to that speed. Looks like he's coming down on the brakes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I thought that braking could overide HDC but might be confused. Something overides it. Laughing TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx
