Just spoke to him, works straight out of the bag, in his opinion that's how they are supposed to do

if you have twin plugs then your adapter is a Y cable?

If so, then the 12v constant supply is fed from the white side and thus why it works.

I only have single electrics thus no 12v supply. RRS gone
