Retrofit the power open/close boot

I am taking delivering of a MY13 RRS TDV6 this coming weekend. I bought it off the floor and so didn't chose the options I wanted. Can the power open/close boot option be retrofitted? I am assuming strut replacement, button, looms and a central computer function enabling??

Shocked does it not have it Shocked it's standard from the 12my

Have you got the split tailgate, if so it's impossible to retrofit.

If there is a strange single piece boot on yours but manual...then it will be possible, but will probably require money and lots of parts and stripping Mike

Thanks mss.

I guess what is option and what is standard depends upon the country configuration. TPMS would be standard in the USA given their new 'Ford Exploder' laws. In AUS, the power open/close is an option.

The RRS, doesnt have a split tailgate like the Vogue or new 2013 Range Rover. It's single piece pivoting at the roof. There is a plastic blank in the bottom of the tailgate where the close button would locate.

Wow...thats harsh, not making it standard

in that case you proabably could look at retrofitting it, you would need:
ECU
Electric/Hydraulic struts
Lock auto release
2 buttons
Loom
ECU (not sure its seperate or in one)
update the car to know its there Mike
