Taking power from cig lighter between front seats

I'm going to be taking the + & - from the 12v power plug that faces the rear passengers.

Can anyone explain how the moulding is removed to gain access to the wires? RRS gone

its a real PITA tbh, you'd be much better getting power with a piggyback fuse from Fuse 58.

What are you powering?

I use them all the time as each circuit is still seperately fused Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers Bodsy

I'm just planning my GVIF install

So you'd just piggy this into one of the 10 amp sockets and run the power to the GVIF?

Edit

Fuse 58? Is this an ignition live? RRS gone

Yes, it's either an ign live or an 'awake' live, cant remember of the top of my head, but either way, it's perfect for running gvif or retro fit BT units. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi awd man,

it just pulls off and clips back in. Take out the cigarette lighter to give you a better grip and use a good pressure on one of the bottom corners and it unclips, getting the wire through is another issue. Its easier to run an extra cable to the rear and use the one in the load area, there's lots of space there
