2010 RRS and iphone 5 problems

Hi
I am new to the forums and wondered if anyone could help me with a problem I have with my Range Rover Sport and the iphone 5. It integrates through blue tooth fantastically but when I connect the usb lead it says Device error. Please has anyone any advice as to how to play my music other than via the aux cable. I should also say that although it says Device error it does charge the iphone.
