OK, so here's the deal.

Just recently (the last week or so), I've started to run into problems with the PTI. The sorts of problems range from the phone not being "seen" by the car (i.e. you don't get a "phone attached" message when you plug it into the cradle) to all the functions freezing either mid-call or as you are about to make a call. It's always worked perfectly for me and the problems I'm experiencing don't now happen all the time (i.e. they're not reproducible), but I can expect one problem or other a day though.

Wife has exact same phone and for the past couple of days I've been using my SIM in her phone to see if it's the handset. I still get the problems, so assume any trouble is PT/cradle-side and not the handset. I'm using a 6230 (not the i) with a cradle and as I say, it's worked perfectly for me for the past 8 months.
