Delivery Times?

Have just been told by my local dealer that they have a 6 month min waiting time & not even taking orders at present for the TDV6 - yet in the same breath they admitted to having several unsold Supercharge models coming in!!
Anyone know of any dealers with shorter waiting lists - or even of a cancelled order/pre-owned high spec TDV6 (ie adaptive lights, rear diff, sun-roof, PTI) ?
And, are the quoted waiting lists realistic or just a marketing ploy to attempt to demonstrate a supply-demand situation? Wink

Hi Ecosse,

Your dealer may well be telling the truth. I have just got my 4.4HSE last Saturday from the dealer in Aberdeen having ordered it in April.

For a couple of months now he has been saying that their entire allocation for the year has been sold. The TDV6 is the most popular model so I can well imagine that you would be looking at a 6 month wait.

I think there is one for sale on Ebay at the moment or some of the brokers might be able to help.

It's frustrating when you can't get what you want right away.

Following on from my last post.

You could try

www.sytner.co.uk

They have a couple of TDV6 HSE's listed under the used car lists. Probably ex-demo's.

Does this waiting time signify that there maybe some changes on the way with the TDV6 engine ? Or is it just down to supply and demand ?

Ecosse, if you are serious I can let you have the details of my broker - he was able to get me into my TD6 (brand new, unregistered) within 2 weeks. He has come up trumps with the past 4 new cars that my family has had, all apparently magicked out of nowhere. I'm not, of course, guaranteeing he can get you in one in such a short space of time as the market isn't exactly flooded with them, but I know he has worked wonders for us and various friends/colleagues and it doesn't hurt to ask.

I know a lot of people look at brokers as the devil incarnate, but really this guy is sound. Anyway, if you're interested let me know.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi guys, my first post Smile

I was told April 06 delivery by a friend of a friend (LR Salesman) but the salesman at the local dealer thinks he can have it first week of Jan. Reason being London dealers get allocated more. Will have to wait and see how he performs!!

Just ordered one in September from erdington birmingham, was told that it will be delivered in mid november (due to a cancellation). My mates put a deposit on one from the same dealer for the same time (his is meant to be a demo car). But im almost certain that his not gonna get one now. Might be worth your while to leave a name and number with them for future cancellations.......cus im almost certain there about to get one!!!! Wink

Prices still looking good for the RRS's on Sytner's (Guy Salmon Network) website: £45k and £49k for pre reg'd examples.
On the trader they are still starting for physical cars at: £43k..
Sorry, im just not used to owning a car that holds its value so well..

Normally i don't dare look at the prices of things i have just gone out and bought, for a good year afterwards, just because it normally hurts the pocket a lot!!
