United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue
Brand New

Hello Folks
The summer starts here in Dubai, The temperature reaching 45 C now a days
all that can affect the reliability of many cars from different branch and manufacturing so u you can see many of vehicles with open hood for cooling down thier engine temperature which reached to the red line, that all fine and we used to see every summer so what new in this summer ...the new is that I found many of brand new RRS stopped behind dealer shop with many defects there are all brand new vehicles the main surprised for me was the airbags..no accident it brand new but it's air bag explored why and how? I let you think..do you believe that the hot climate will coz such a defect? also I found many of new RRS required some body job like painting fixing mirror est..Is shipping cozing suh damages to brand new vehicles I do believe on that. so how to avoid such as issues

Probably shipping damage if they've had a poor crossing and come loose in the container Sad Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

They don't go in containers for the most part Martin, they get driven onto a floating multistorey carpark in their 1000's. The damage that Sportman pictures is consistant with shipping damage as far as the bumpers is concerned but I don't think that would casue the airbags to go off. Cars are parked so close to each other on the cardecks that you cannot walk between them and if there is bad weather and one car breaks loose from it's lashings it causes amazing damage. The ships that carry LR's out of Southampton are huge green and white ships owned by a Swedish company and they have a very good reputation for taking care of the vehicles while they are on their ships. Of course the cars have to be driven from compounds in the docks into the ship and then from the ship back to receiving compounds at the destination port, they are generally driven by specialist drivers (also called dockers!) in the UK but at the other end the recieving dealer provides the drivers.
Ships are used for volume shipments of vehicles but I remember 1stRRS telling us that his 1st Edition RRS was one of 5 that were airfreighted out to Indonesia.

This is the company that carries Land Rovers out of the UK www.walleniuslines.com It was one of theirs that capsized and sank in the Dover Strait 4 years ago 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
