"Don’t Speed"!!! Do you mean like doing 140km/h on a 130km/h freeway/motorway on a sunny Sunday afternoon with no traffic around. That kind of speeding, Maybe you confuse my with a boy racer driving up and down the high street playing techno music with windows open and 20 friends in the car.

I would suggest you think before you make silly comments and judge people.

The punishment depends on the country you are in and whilst the punishments are severe, I have not yet heard of anybody going to jail for this.

I suppose you could always fit a dummy ACC box to the front lower intake of your RRS and stick your jammer/detector into it instead of an adaptive cruise system...................... Whistle Whistle Whistle

The plastic box for the ACC is available as a spare part or from scrapers
It may be too low though?

If your inferring to me my dear friend, then you're mistaken. I never made any silly comments or was judgemental towards you or others present. We all have spirited drives here and there....I'll be the first one to put my hands up and say yes I have. I also insist on doing my spirited driving on a track!!

This device is only illegal if its purpose is to pervert any road traffic acts.....I merely use mine as a front park assist Very Happy

Yes but they are still on display to plod Tiko. Only us anoraks know that TDv6's don't have ACC, and no boxes in the lower intake because they have too much diesel shake! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The max. speed of the RRS is "only" 180km/h?! Or is a supercharged RRS faster? Wink

I followed the instructions, but I don't seem to get power to the valentine. is there a trick to getting the scotch connector to make contact with the green and white wire? I suspect that this is the problem.

Thanks in advance. Great install instructions!

The blue self-tapping connector included with the V1's hardwiring kit seems to be designed for a slightly thicker gage wire than the green/white one on our overhead console, so the connection could indeed be a bit iffy... You could open up the blue connector and remove the U-shaped metal blade from the plastic casing, then gently squeeze the edges together to close the gap for the wire, thus insuring a steadier connection when you put it back together.

Radar Jamming.

Radar jammers can certainly be fitted to UK cars. They are actually garage door/gate openers. It is purely down to how they are being used that slips into the realm of illegal.
If you are using one to jam police signals and they catch you.....then you will be prosecuted. However the police laser gun will initially show an error message when your jammer detects and jams their signal. The trick is to note you have been scanned and turn your system off so the police do not get a second error message. You of course have slowed down then. No trail too steep, no mud too deep!
----But ouch that last river cost an ecu or two!

My Dad was on Holiday in France and knew that his detector was illegal there, so had unplugged it and placed it in his glove box. Whilst parked at a cafe for lunch the Police came in to the Cafe and asked who owned the British Registered Range Rover outside. Thinking something had happened to the car my dad answered that it was his. The Police asked him to come and look at his car with them. They pointed out the fitting bracket for his Detector & told him to open the car. As he didn't have the detector in use he obliged. They asked to see the unit and he showed them it ws locked away and disconnected. They informed him that it was still illegal and they then confiscated the unit and informed him he could have also been fined! losing the unit was bad enough as it was about £400 and was only weeks old! So a word of warning, in France at least, make sure you leave no visible evidence of the unit in your car if driving in France. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

That green and white striped wire - does that only get power when the engine is switched on?
