I have a cousin in Wellington, he and his family are fine. Marie has friends on the south Island, we have not heard from them today
My thoughts are with them. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

The last time I was in NZ was just after the Auckland earthquake - we were asked to bring the ship into port with maximum capacity of fresh water onboard (we can make 45 tonnes a day onboard and have capacity for up to 700 tonnes) and also to prepare our 6 alternators to run the whole time we were alongside. These were rather unusual requests but all was revealed when we docked - all the ships in port were supplying the city with fresh water and putting our electricity into the city power grid as the pipes and cables had been broken all over the place and the utility companies couldn't make repairs fast enough 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The shaky isles

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Living in Wellington, we are used to earthquakes, however the one in Christchurch was something else (7.1) and something I would not wish to experience. I think we were very fortunate that not one person was killed.

We survived it !!! But the house didnt it,s not too bad and we can still live in it but it,s gonna be years before Christchurch is sorted out. I also work at Lyttleton port and that suffered a lot of damage but we are working round it so all,s good Thumbs Up
