Cleaning your wheels

Got a really good product called Bilberry - dilute it as needed, spray it on, leave for a few mins and jet wash it off - no leg work involved and cleans up the wheels a treat! You won't have to clean the wheels with a mit or sponge etc....

Just thought good idea to share a good product Thumbs Up

I use it too, diluted right down, but even neat its not good on burnt on dust though, you'll need something stronger for that

3M wheel cleaners good too

Rust on Wheels

Hi - Sorry to ambush your post - On two of my wheels i got what looks like fine rust in some of the corners - The wheels were like this when i bought the car. Thought i would be able to wash it off - But after loads of washes it still there - Any advise on how to remove it - What is the best solution to use - Cheers Mark.

Sounds like iron deposits from brakes, or it could be a failed lacquer

Try iron cut

Thanks Npinks

Thanks Npinks - With the look of it in the corners i believe it is iron deposit. I googled iron cut and it came back as Iron X - Looks like the same stuff with the right up - Will order some soon - Thanks very much - Mark.

No problems, I think it's the same stuff, going to buy myself some next year too

From what I read about it, it's going to be a rancid smell, but does the job Thumbs Up

Just note that some of these cleaners soften the lacquer and allow the dirt particles that were hot when they stuck to the wheel's finishing coat to be dislodged.

Wash off as soon as possible with lots of good detergent and then polish the wheels to give back a bit of future portection.

Not sure myself

I have asked the question on Detailing world on a thread if theres

Or try contacting them direct

http://www.aquartz.net/

They also do an iron soap gel for washing the car and removing iron particles on the paint, with a white car I keep seeing orange flex on the car which I only can get rid of by a clay bar, so if it can be done at the wash stage better for me
