Land Rover Clubs Expo

Just arrived home from the and Rover Expo and had mixed feelings about the day.

Not sure of the numbers (looked a fraction down on last year) and there didn't seem to be as many displays and demonstrations as there were last year.

Last year also had the local markets next door so there was a great selection of food and other things to keep the kiddies amused.

Even the ramp climb was limited this year to sponsors which meant that everyday people couldn't really have a go.

The cars were better organised this year though and got everyone together in the right sections. On the down side they threw all of the sport owners in with all the Range Rovers and it would have been much better to separate them (Bias? Me?)

The event has so much potential but I think they'll really need to work on it if they want more people along next year.

A mate of mine who came along with us suggested they move the event out to Eastern Creek and take advantage of the new permanent 4x4 track. Could be a great way to extend the event. As it was, most people were leaving by 1pm and half the field had cleared of vehicles.

Would be interested in hearing others ideas/feedback on the day. 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6
