Well yet again I find myself ass raped by Town and County with even more lies stuck in the mix! Despite shafting me for several thousand quid over selling me a dud car they weren't content with that. My private plate that I had on the car they charged me the 105 quid fee to have it put on retention and told me it would take "a couple of weeks" to get it back! That's now over 2 weeks ago so today I called the DVLA to see when I would get it back to be told it would be 4 to 6 weeks from when they received it at the local office!

Lo and behold they never bothered themselves to put it in till last Friday so I'll now have to go get another plate made up for the caravan as I'm not going to get the retention in time for taking the caravan out on the road!

I know its not a huge item but its still the aggrevation of having to get another plate and prove the cars mine etc which frankly I could do without!

Seems to be I didn't spend enough money with them to get the level of service that other forum members enjoy from them up here!

So glad I've gone back to BMW for now and the outstanding level of service I've had from them so far and in the past!

Just read read the X5 Signature you have

Hope things are better and life can back to normal with it

Doesn't the X5 need an addtional oil cooler when towing, or something, I recall a post by Tim in Scotland saying so

Its factory fit so should have any extras it needs! Besides my 535 had the same engine and gearbox and it managed fine with the van so should be ok! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Did you get either the 535d or X5 remapped? I had my 335d remapped and it made a huge difference. Made a quick car incredibly quick! Its a fantastic engine. Any more details of the X5 or pics? Sorry if I've missed your post about it. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award
