I have Stornoway and its nothing like the picture! Think the picture has been 'worked on' as there is a tint of brown that is just not there in Stornoway ( well not on my car!).

First gotcha, well for me anyhow. Test drove the new 2010my, studied the brochure, went back to dealer, browsed the cars they had in stock, then went to order my baby.

One thing I noted on the cars I looked at, were the great new tailpipes. The RRS 3ltr had ones that looked similar to the S/C and finished off the rear end nicely.

When I went to pick mine up yesterday, it had the ole turned down exhaust tips. Tye car in the showroom had nice straight pipes. I queried my dealer. The one in the showroom had an older build date. Another Sport out back was later build like minecand also had turned down tail pipes. Dealer said he'd ask LR.

Info back is that my car is correct, in so far as the 1st batch of 2010MY cars were all built to Euro emmissions standard and have a DPF fitted to be EU5? Compliant. UK as a whole do not need DPF so you get the bent tail pipes. So if you want sexy straight pipes, spec the DPF on your order! 2010MY Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE

Good Tip there Gazzer,(no pun intended) Thumbs Up

as quite a few have posted already about the new straight pipeslooking much better, and not giving away the tractor juicer under the bonnet.

Until the plumes of black smoke appear. Wink

Consider yourself lucky - dpf can be a pain in the arse.

Agree. The car is gonna do a lot of short journeys, which the DPF won't like. I'll just run her on Shell V Power. 2010MY Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE

Gazzer,

get some decent exhaust tips from DCC4x4 site sponsor, you'll get the S/C look without having to worry about the DPF blocking and giving warning messages weekly. Thumbs Up

We are meetings at the infamous (best dealer in the land) Lookers Park Royal at 11am - and then a tour of the dealership, looking at each others cars - and James has a 5.0 S/C demo there - and is giving out LR experience days vouchers - and then a driving tour planned and lunch somewhere later.....

Hope you can make it Thumbs Up
