Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Funny enough I didn't get any official information yet although my car should be one of the relevant ones. Nice to know they really do care and hurry since it is a break issue... Well still no news on the Euro3 compliant modifications, the vehicle is in for new bushes and ball joints tomorrow, so it will have to go back again some other time for the formal fix to the brake issue, when LR decides to issue it that is Yawn Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Mine was done because I conacted the Dealer. However, when I went to have it done, they were doing all vehicles as they came in for routine servicing or warranty work.

They should fix the brake issue when your car is in, if your car is not exhibiting any problems, its a 30 minute job....

Both 2nd and myself have the new pipes now....

BKHK, i have had repairs done in January when the Rotors where changed by the dealer for this exact problem, and the vehicle is in the manufacturing date range, just no Recall notice as yet for the Euro3 compliant engines Laughing so the dealer cannot do anything at this point of time... nice to see LR caring about its customers health and safety Rolling Eyes Wink Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

According to this:

....it doesn't affect the UK market, but that goes against what some folks have been saying here. I suppose best thing is to quote the PO17 number at them and see what they say Very Happy

Hi Zilch

I think we are talking about different issues here. My "recall" was for the brake vacuum system. I believe that my engine is Euro IV so we may not be in the same batch?

Re: Recall underway in the UK yet?

Hi ChrisP

My understanding is that the UK recalls for this and HP fuel pump will be launched on 28 Sept 09. Dealers will then send out letters to owners. I gather about 56,000 Sports and D3s are included.

Schmoogs from our local market perspective that recall is for Euro4 compliant engines, not Euro3, however after its regular visit to the dealers today for new under carriage parts, the dealer told me they are just about there with the Euro3 compliant recall.. apparently there is a slight change to one of the hoses that's used in the Euro 4 modification...

A number of Euro 4's were off the road for a protracted time in OZ due to a lack of parts, some dealers not releasing the vehicles if they came in for service and other work until the mod was done, perhaps they wish to avoid this by building up a reasonable level of parts first

Thanks guys,
Just back from the dealers and they say a recall is underway and due to its nature it won't be done at the next service but by letter with an early remedy so all affected cars including those not being LR services are picked up.. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Yep, looks this is the case as alluded to previously:

50,000 approx affected but seems most of them are D3s. Letters will go out from 28/9 and will be sent in VIN order, but not all cars will actually require the recall work to be undertaken. Dealers will be informed of recall details on the same day.

I have just had a call from the stealer regarding this problem, PLUS a fuel pump recall as well. Does anyone know about the fuel pump issue and does either of these issues require firmware downloads to the ECU. I just want to protect my remap.
