I've only got the half day. Can you upgrade on the day (at lunchtime), or do you have to do it in advance. Very Happy

Usually you have to upgrade in advance, you should have recieved a wallet of info about what is available from LRE including details of how to upgrade. You can phone or email the centres - details are on the Land Rover website. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to do it on the day - but as Tim rightly says, phone Eastnor directly. Obviously, it requires staff being available to take the sessions but if someone's free, I don't see why they shouldn't allow it Very Happy

Thanks guys. We're having a weekend away combined with the LRE 1/2 day and I've been informed we need to be home mid afternoon, so I guess the full day is out. Sad Laughing Still I can do it another time.

Shame - it's well worth doing as the morning is a gentle stroll compared to what you get to do in the afternoon! And that's not the tip of the iceberg in terms of capability, either....

Hi,
Just got back home after an extended weekend away, which included the LR Experience at Eastnor.
It was a bright beautiful sunny morning for off-roading, but there was a hitch before we even started. I wasn't booked in at Eastnor, in spite of having received written confirmation that I was.
Fortunately, they had a "spare" instructor (Tim) and a Range Rover V8 Vogue. This meant that I had the car to myself, so my wife and daughter were able to come along at no extra cost.
It was an excellent morning and both my wife and I got plenty of driving time between us. These cars are fantastically capable off-road and I am really impressed with what they can take in their stride.
The only question mark was when descending a very steep incline with HDC activated and for some unknown reason, the engine "decided" to accelerate Shocked even though my feet were nowhere near any of the pedels. After a very brief panic and fighting the urge to hit the brakes, the RR came to its senses and brought everything back under control gain Smile
We both thoroughly enjoyed it and intend to go back for more.
Regards,
Paul

That's great Paul-glad you enjoyed it. I'm certainly going to phone them on Friday to ensure that I am booked in and that I've got the RRS to myself, which is what my paperwork says. Hopefully, there'll be no gliches. Very Happy A Range Rover Evoque 5 door on order.

Paul, HDC takes 5 wheel rotations before it phases in so with something the weight of an RR, D3 or RRS you get up to a fair speed before the anchors snatch and slow you down! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Tim,
It was definitely a "glitch". We had been using HDC prior to the strange event with no problems. It wasn't so much that HDC hadn't started working that caused the panic as the fact that the engine revved itself and consequently accelerated down the hill Surprised
However, apart from the panic, it was a thoroughly enjoyable morning.
Regards,
Paul
